My thoughts on life

I was just perusing the statistics of my site, and discovered that someone did a search for “walmart raleigh sc40” — a really nice bike combined with a really cheap store. My only advice is this: give it up little friend. That bike cost me over $240, and the only place I was able to find one was at a bike shop, i.e. a licensed Raleigh dealer. Like most things of quality, it isn’t sold at Wal-Mart. I found that kind of amusing anyway.

– I have apparently contracted some sort of virus that doesn’t make me sneeze, cough, have a runny nose or sore throat. Instead I just have sore muscles (and sometimes skin), a headache, and a low-grade fever. Ibuprofen makes all of these symptoms dissapear temporarily, except if I go out into the rather warm outdoors, I feel lightheaded. I just thought this is a very strange illness to have, and I hope it goes away soon, lest I destroy my liver with ibu trying to feel normal.

– My computer case came on Friday and I was able to get the motherboard in. The power supply was delayed until Monday because it was out of stock for one day. Since I had to order it separately, I got more RAM too, so on Monday I should be able to actually start the computer up using my old processor and video card. I find it amazing how fast RAM has dropped in price. I bought a stick of 512Mb a year ago and paid about $95 for it. I just purchased 1Gb of the same brand and type for $105. If I were a more patient person, I could have gotten it for a lot less I’m sure. More memory wasn’t exactly crucial.

– I think I’m going to go back to bed now. The cats decided it was a good time to try and wake up Ethan for food, but as he is unrousable until he wants to get up, they just annoyed me until I couldn’t sleep, then I got hungry. Blasted cats. It will be interesting to see what happens to them when we move out of here and have a bedroom door.
