My thoughts on life

Yesterday on the way to work I had a slight biking incident. The metal piece that is supposed to guide the chain from gear to gear sort of snapped in half. Then it sort of got jammed in the chain. Thankfully the only injuries incurred were when my foot slid off the pedal and was trapped beneath it, dragging on the road for a few feet. I basically have a few scraped toes and a bruised toenail. Josh was able to make the bike usable again (though you can’t switch the front gear, he can’t work miracles). This has prompted me to believe I should really get a new bike. I did some looking around and I found one I’d like to get… It’s about $330 with tax… The thing is, I bike enough that having a decent bike would really be worth it. As it is now, I have a (broken) bike from some store like k-mart that I’ve had since 5th or 6th grade. The only thing I am concerned about is I don’t have a bike rack. My parents do, and they won’t be in town, so I could probably use that when I go to buy the bike. I don’t know if it will go on my car though. So, hopefully by the end of the weekend, I’ll be one bike richer and a few hundred dollars poorer.
